It’s also sized larger than Cleveland Tank’s standard fuel caps — a 4.00-inch diameter fitting instead of 3.00 inches — with the same female thread pitch (8 TPI) as the smaller locking caps, so it’s a direct-fit replacement where a larger neck size is spec’d. The lightweight aluminum body resists corrosion far better than a steel cap.
