The FC-6V is the vented counterpart to Cleveland Tank’s FC-6NV — same steel construction, 2.88-inch diameter, and male 8 TPI thread, built for fuel systems that let air into the tank through the cap rather than a separate equalizer line. Fitting a non-vented cap on that type of system risks vacuum lock, so the venting here isn’t optional for the applications it’s meant for.
Steel gives it more impact resistance than Cleveland Tank’s aluminum or brass caps, for equipment that takes rougher handling. It’s non-locking, a straightforward option for fuel systems that need proper venting and steel durability without a keyed closure.
